Kisskill & the city!

On August 2nd my good friend & myself flew out to the US, with a small prayer that the case of samples didn't go missing off we went. The aim of the trip was to show the new collections at the trade show in New York, with the hope of being picked up by international buyers. I've been travelling to these shows for several years as a buyer, so being on the other other side as an exhibitor with my own label was pretty exciting! 

Arriving late, there was time for a little sleep before getting up early to set up for the show. The convention centre is huge with lots of other shows happening at the same time. Setting up the new collection among the established brands I know so well as well as some cool new labels was allot of fun. Once set up it was time to enjoy some time out & meet my friends!  

Excited that I got to meet my shoe designer friend Obi for the first time, we caught up & talked about our new collections & design ideas. Always nice to chat with other designers. Obi makes gorgeous shoes & his Illustrations are just beautiful.  

That evening Kisskill super model Chrissy Walczak flew in, fresh tanned and well rested from a heath retreat in Mexico. After a cheeky vino to ruin her good work we all headed to the lingerie fashion week closing party, followed by a fun dinner in the Meat-packing district. 

Sunday was day 1 one of the show & the start of 3 days of fun! We met so many great people, buyers from small boutiques from all over the US & New York as well as large department stores & international buyers from Japan. I got to meet my favourite lingerie bloggers Lindsay from thatjenesaisquoi.com & Cora from thelingerieaddict.com. We also met some great stylists & have left some of the collection with stylist Karin for a photo-shoot. Cant wait to see Kisskill in some New York editorial.

The result was very exciting, the brand was well received & we look forward to hitting the US & other countries with the new collections. Stay tuned! 

Topped off by 3 days of fun with my friends & sister, shopping up a storm & living the life in New York, we couldn't have had more fun & laughs. Thanks for having us New York City, always full of adventure & can't wait to come back next year.
